About this Event
This practical two-hour workshop explores how early-stage founders can turn conversations with potential customers into paying customers, and build a repeatable approach to sales without overcomplicating the process.
You’ll learn how to identify the right prospects, build a list of people and organisations to approach, and choose the most effective ways to reach them. You’ll explore how to move from an initial conversation towards a sale, including qualifying prospects, understanding budgets and decision-making processes, handling objections and asking for the business. You’ll also look at how to keep track of opportunities and follow up consistently, without needing a complicated sales system.
The session is highly interactive, with practical exercises, small-group discussions and paired sales practice throughout. You’ll work on real prospects for your own business, challenge each other’s approaches and leave with a clear plan for generating sales conversations over the following ten days.
By the end of the session, you will have practical tools to help you:
- identify and prioritise real prospects you can approach now;
- choose effective ways to reach potential customers and avoid wasting time on approaches that are unlikely to work;
- qualify prospects by understanding who makes the buying decision, what budget is available and how the process works;
- turn initial conversations into proposals, ask for the sale and handle uncertain responses;
- build a simple sales pipeline and follow-up routine to keep opportunities moving;
- understand the foundations of a repeatable sales engine and what to focus on at your current stage;
- leave with a clear commitment to the sales approaches and conversations you’ll pursue over the next ten days.
The workshop is led by Tom Bright, founder of Bright Evolve, a sales consultancy supporting early-stage B2B businesses. Drawing on 25 years of experience in B2B sales, Tom helps founders move beyond founder-led selling towards a repeatable sales approach. He has worked with more than 30 companies across the UK and US, generating around £8 million in new sales.
The session is particularly suited to founders who understand the problem their customers face but are still working out how to turn that understanding into paying business. It is ideal for pre-revenue businesses and founders with a handful of customers who want to make sales more consistent.
