About this Event

Working While Disabled: Know Your Rights, Protect Your Benefits

Thinking about going back to work while receiving Social Security disability or SSI benefits? You're not alone — and the rules are more flexible than most people realize. Join this practical, plain-language training designed specifically for beneficiaries, family members, and caregivers (no legal background required) to demystify the SSA work incentive rules and your rights on the job.
Learn SSI Work Incentives & Reporting Rules — How earned income exclusions can let you keep more of your paycheck and your SSI payment, what counts as reportable income, and exactly how and when to report your wages to avoid overpayments or benefit interruptions.
Learn Your Rights on the Job — What "reasonable accommodation" really means under federal and state disability law, how to request one, and what your employer can and can't do in response.
