The Salem Chamber of Commerce is excited to kick off the Halloween season with the Haunted Happenings Grand Parade on Thursday, October 1, 2026!This year’s theme is “Old-School Halloween” as part of Salem400+! We’re taking a nostalgic trip through Halloween history, from ancient traditions and classic trick-or-treating to homemade costumes and ’90s Halloween movies. 🎃📺🍬
The parade will travel its traditional route from Prime Group Shetland Park to Salem Common, bringing together thousands of students, local businesses, community groups, music, costumes and plenty of spooky spirit!

The parade is presented by Prime Group Shetland Park, Salem Witch Museum, St. Jean’s Credit Union, and The House of the Seven Gables. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued support!
🧡 Volunteers Needed: We’re looking for approximately 50 volunteers to help keep spectators safely behind the barriers along the parade route.
Come celebrate Halloween the old-school way and help us light up Salem!
