About this Event

Separation & Migration - A Diaspora Journey

Ancestral Constellations 'All Issues' Workshops, explore family, social and community issues and are intended to bridge cultures and integrate diverse therapeutic practices.

The Separation and Migration workshops will explore the ancestral lands of our parents and forefathers. What are we seeking and what can we hope to find, both literally when we go parental lands and metaphorically if our desire to visit is curtailed by different events.

We can ask questions about our relationship with the land of our birth and the land we currently live in. Our loyalty to tribe and country and a place to call home. How do we make sense of our past and current identity and belonging. What can we learn about separation, migration, identity and belonging.

And then there is the land that we are born on and where we live today, sometimes the same and sometimes different. This is a call to do the work in community so that all of you who want to find a meeting place for bridging difference, can find it in this work.

Who is the Workshop For

These workshops are aimed at Diaspora communties of colour, a personal journey of healing if your parents or grandparents were born in one place and now live in another.

It is also for you if you were born in a different country or left your homeland when you were very young and have never returned and are on a journey of RE-Membering.

It is also for professionals working in diverse communities with refugees and immigrant communities, whether they have just arrived in the UK, or been here for generations.

The workshop will also be supportive for participants with partners from, or are in a marriage with someone from a different community, culture, colour or faith background.

How the Workshop is Structured

This workshop is both personal learning and professional development. During each workshop constellations will be chosen from group members based on need and the energy of the group.

Whether you are having your own constellation, are an observer or a Representative 'Stand-in' for a family member, we are all doing our money and abundance work together in community. And everyone will recieve benefit from the constellations that are being 'mapped-out'.

The workshop will explore separation and migration issues in the current and previous generations, looking at.....

  • What migration patterns exist in your transgeenrational line?
  • Are there any patterns that consistently emerge in each generation?
  • How is identify and belonging reflected in different generation?
  • How does separation from family members left behind impact relationships in the current family system?
  • What conflicts around different cultural traditions and beliefs emerge in each generation?
  • What needs to change for future generations?

Please note that there is no guarantee that you will be able to have a personal constellation.
