About this Event

This event needs to be booked.

Sensory Space at Bath Central Library

In this room, you will find sensory lighting and toys, a giant beanbag and comfy rug and cushion area, plus a black out tent. Find out more and download a guide to the Sensory Space on our Virtual Library: baneslibraries.co.uk/about-us/access-for-all/sensory-space-at-bath-central-library

The room is open to all to use but we particularly want to welcome families and small groups of children and young adults with sensory needs. Children will need adult supervision, so please book the room for all adults and children.

We offer a drop-in session between 3.30 - 4.30pm. For this hour there is no need to book and the room is available on a first come, first serve basis.

While you are visiting, please ask staff about our new Sensory Explorer Bags. These bags provide a sensory and tactile self-led offer for families to use when visiting all our spaces. Find out more online, or ask staff for more information.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Only book one ticket per household. The maximum capacity is 6. Please state how many adults/children you will be bringing when you book.

• Some of our events can be noisy and make the library busy. If you’d rather avoid booking our sensory space then, please look at our events timetable: baneslibraries.co.uk/groups-events

Our most popular term time event is Storytime, which is on Wednesdays from 10.30 – 11.00am.
