About this Event

Self-help books are some of the most popular and most borrowed books of all genres. People love to read about how they can improve their health, their attitudes and their lives in general. So many people read self-improvement books, but how many actually attempt to put some of what they've read into practice?

This reading group aims to do just that - help you help yourself by discussing ways in which theory can be put into practice.

See here for the books available online from the library.

What if you could shift your thoughts in seconds, calm overwhelming emotions, and finally break free from the habits holding you back?

Created by therapist Kelly Armatage, A.S.K. blends proven psychological approaches—including cognitive behavioural therapy, somatic healing, and spiritual insight—into a simple, step-by-step process you can use anytime, anywhere. This is more than a book; it’s a tool you can carry with you through life’s challenges and transformations.

During this event, you’ll discover how A.S.K. can help you:

• Heal unresolved emotional wounds and past experiences
• Let go of unhelpful thoughts, behaviours, and patterns
• Develop deeper self-awareness and emotional clarity
• Set healthier boundaries in your relationships
• Move confidently toward the life you truly want

With practical exercises, guided tools, and real-life applications, A.S.K. acts as your “pocket therapist”—supporting you in moments of stress, growth, and decision-making.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, seeking clarity, or ready for a new chapter, this event offers a powerful starting point.

Step into strength. Create change. Find your serenity.
