Start your day in stillness.Each week we'll gather in a different outdoor or community space around Columbia for a brief guided meditation followed by about 45 minutes of silent meditation. Some locations will be peaceful and quiet, while others may include birdsong, flowing water, distant trains, or the gentle sounds of the city waking up. Rather than distractions, these sounds become part of the practice.
Bring a chair, blanket, cushion, or meditation bench—or borrow one of ours. We'll have a selection of cushions and blankets available, although quantities are limited.
Weekly meeting locations will be announced in advance after each site is confirmed. Some gatherings may take place in parks, gardens, public spaces, or nature preserves, so dress for the weather and consider bringing water and insect repellent.
No meditation experience is necessary. Beginners are always welcome.
