🔥Come gather around the fire and celebrate this special time of year with ancient folklore, beautiful seasonal songs from The Auckland Shanty Singers, heart warming food and seasonal crafts for all ages.🎃 If you enjoy Halloween, you’re very welcome to come along in costume or bring a pumpkin or turnip lantern to share in the autumn spirit. Perhaps dress as someone from the past; a much-loved ancestor, a character from history, a traditional folk character, or someone who inspires you, rather than the usual scary masks and monsters.
🍄And if Halloween isn’t your thing, there’s plenty here to enjoy too! We’ll explore some of the stories, folklore and traditions associated with this time of year, while keeping the celebration welcoming and accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
You don’t need to share any particular beliefs or traditions, simply come along, enjoy the atmosphere, and celebrate the changing seasons with us.
