About this Event
Managing technology is the number one battle ground in homes today.
This is an opportunity for North Arm State School parents and carers to come together and unpack some of the current issues parents are facing as we raise our digital natives. The Screen Sanity workshop is not anti-tech.
What can you expect from the info session:
You can expect a casual but very informative evening you will gain so much from. Save yourself reading endless parenting books on this subject, spending hours researching how to set up a ‘safe home’ and quietly questioning how other families are handling this new digital environment. This is your chance to get proactive, in one evening! Start setting up your home for success, creating a digital health culture that works for your family. It is not one-size fits all as everyone is different but we give you lots of tools, tips, and resources to help you kick off this process. 1 hours at this workshop is the equivalent of 10 hours or reading, research and agony!
How the event runs:
We welcome everyone by 6:00pm sharp, and kick off our video sessions . We space out the video content with times for reflection, note taking and there is also time for discussion. Bring your friends and you can sit together to have some of these great and important conversations!
Rest assured that we run the workshop to the clock, to respectfully ensure everyone leaves by 8:00pm to get home to carers, neighbours or babysitters in charge of the children for that evening. This is solely a parent and carer evening, aside from nursing children, we do not recommend that children come or stay for the event.
For those of you who have come in the past, we have new Australian-made videos which we have updated and would love for you to see.
$20 per ticket to cover the cost of the Screen Sanity Handbook you will receive.
This ticket admits your whole family. During registration, please tell us how many people will be attending so we can make sure everyone has a seat.
