Screen Combat: Introduction to Screen Fighting
Learn to fight like a film star without throwing a real punch.
Ever wondered how actors create convincing, hard-hitting fight scenes without actually hurting one another? Join Fear Screen for an introduction to screen combat with The Action Figures Fight Team, led by experienced fight performer and fight director Mark Hunter.
With credits on major productions including House of the Dragon, MobLand and The Witcher, Mark brings professional industry experience to this practical workshop. A graduate of East 15 Acting School with a BA in Screen Combat, he also has over eight years of teaching experience through Hunter's Stage Combat.
Your Mission: Survive the Zombie Horde
In this workshop, you'll explore the fundamentals of screen combat through the scenario of a zombie apocalypse. How do performers make a fight look convincing without making contact? How is the illusion of impact created? And how can a choreographed fight look dramatic while keeping everyone involved safe?
You'll be introduced to choreographed unarmed combat and the use of foam baseball bats to create convincing fight sequences. Discover how timing, movement, positioning and communication help performers work together to bring cinematic action to life.

Participants will be guided through the fundamentals of creating convincing action without deliberately striking their partners. All activities will focus on the principles of safe, choreographed screen combat.
