About this Event
Restoring nature is a fundamental challenge facing Scotland today. Public support for environmental protection is strong, and politicians acknowledge the scale of intervention required. We can celebrate some significant successes. But the pace of action is too slow, and the overall picture is of continuing decline rather than recovery. Meanwhile, the need to adapt to climate change is growing in urgency.
Nature matters to everyone. This conference aims to galvanise action by bringing together the people who can shape our natural environment to explore diverse perspectives, share solutions and find common ground.
We’ll debate what life in Scotland will look like with nature restored and thriving, and how we get there. We’ll explore what climate change means for nature policy and practice. And crucially, we’ll ask what we can learn from those we disagree with.
Scotland’s Nature Summit is for everyone working to bring Scotland’s nature back to health, including land managers, farmers, fishers, Scottish Government and public sector staff, MSPs, community groups, campaigners and environmental organisations.
This event is hosted by Scottish Environment LINK with support from NatureScot and RSPB Scotland.
