About this Event
The School Food Summit is a one-day, hands-on learning experience for school nutrition leaders, frontline teams, district administrators, and partners working across Indiana.
Hosted by A Longer Table, the Summit brings together chefs, researchers, policymakers, food systems leaders, and school food professionals for practical sessions grounded in the realities of school meal programs. Participants will explore scratch and speed-scratch cooking, breakfast production strategy, production cooking, local procurement, food safety, school food policy, and emerging research.
With four workshop blocks, a statewide policy plenary, and time to connect with peers, participants will leave with practical tools, new approaches, and stronger connections they can bring back to their schools and districts.
The Summit is on October 13, and registration for workshop sessions will open September 18. Participants will also have the option to pre-register to take the ServSafe Manager Exam during the Summit.
