Our fifth Swing Sesh social dance of the year will be happening on a SATURDAY 10th OCTOBER! To avoid clashing with other events and to secure a great venue, we’ve shifted our next dance from our usual schedule to a Saturday.THE DETAILS

TASTER CLASS
Need a refresher on the basic steps? Then join our guest teachers for a taster class from 2:00-2:30PM. We will then continue with live music and social dancing until 5:00pm.
ABOUT THE BAND
The dynamic 20-piece Kate Street Big Band plays a fabulous range of jazz, from early Swing to Contemporary, and everything in between. Directed by Tamara Gibb, and featuring vocalist Naomi Doessel. The group performs biannually at the Brisbane Jazz Club and BrizWest Ensembles concerts as well as an assortment of local community gigs.
OTHER STUFF
*Due to the nature of live music and our favourite wooden flooring in dance halls, please consider bringing ear protection if noise is an issue for you. Although not amplified, 15-20 musicians all playing at the same time can create a high level of noise.
**Due to the costs associated with hiring a live band, and hall hire etc, there will not be concession or student ticket prices. If this cost is prohibitive to your attendance at the event please reach out to Monique at Swing Patrol for a confidential chat!**
