About this Event
Calling all sapphic romance lovers! Whether you’re a longtime fan of sapphic stories or just discovering the magic of women-loving-women romance, Pride & Petals is thrilled to host a free, in-person book club celebrating sapphic love in all its forms.
Our mission is simple: to bring together readers who share a passion for heartfelt stories, swoon-worthy characters, and authentic representation. Join us for an evening of lively discussion, tasty snacks, and genuine community connection. Whether you’ve read every sapphic romance under the sun or are just starting your journey, this is a safe, welcoming space to make new friends, share your thoughts, and celebrate love in all its beautiful diversity.
Come for the books, stay for the laughter, and leave with a heart full of joy (and maybe a few new friends!). We can’t wait to meet you and chat about our latest sapphic read!
We have limited space for this book club, so make sure you save yourself a spot.
For our November 13th book club, we have chosen Not Just Gal Pals by Elizabeth Luly:
Pull on your coziest sweater, because this month we are reading the sapphic small-town rom com that fall was made for. Not Just Gal Pals is low-angst, warm-hearted, and exactly the kind of book you want in your hands when the days get shorter and you need something to make you smile.
Jenny Lynton never planned to be an influencer, it just sort of happened. When an ill-timed post leaves her almost-canceled, she retreats to her hometown of Sapphire Springs, New York, to wait out the storm. Her agent thinks a fling with a flannel-wearing lumberjack might fix her image. But lumberjacks are in short supply in Sapphire Springs. Lumberjanes, on the other hand... enter Blake Mitchell, the town’s only doctor, who has had a crush on Jenny since high school and turns into a complete, adorable, socially-awkward mess every time Jenny is in the room. When the two are thrown together to rescue a friend’s bachelorette party, the sparks they’ve both been ignoring become impossible to deny. Come ready to laugh and immediately want to move to a small town with a queer doctor.
As always, our book club is a warm and welcoming space, whether you’ve finished the book or simply want to listen and be part of the conversation.
✨ Sign up and read along with us, we’d love to have you there. ✨
And don’t forget, you can always stop by the store to grab your copy of Not Just Gal Pals at Pride & Petals.
