💃 SALSA MUSICALITY & TIMING WORKSHOP 🎶🥁Ever hear a salsa song and wonder what exactly you’re supposed to listen for?
This workshop will help you start hearing the music from a dancer’s perspective!
Join Amalia for a 1.5-hour workshop exploring the instruments, rhythms, counts, and movements that make salsa music come alive.
🥁 Learn to recognize the instruments and understand the role each one plays in the music.
🎵 Connect sounds to counts — discover where different instruments and rhythms fit within the salsa timing.
💃 Turn what you hear into movement — learn how specific sounds, accents, and rhythms can inspire your steps, body movement, and styling.
🎶 Dance with the music, not just to the music!
And to make the experience even more authentic, we'll have LIVE percussion with Jimmy from La Orquesta Son Romero, giving you the opportunity to hear and feel the rhythms up close.
