Join Appalachian Headwaters and Ohio University PhD candidate, Libby Kramer for an informative talk on West Virginia's salamander species, and how to ID these beautiful amphibians!What makes a salamander a salamander? What species could be in your back yard? Is a Hellbender the same species as a mudpuppy? Get all your questions answered with Libby and Dr. Merri Collins! After the talk we will get out in the field to go "herping" and look for salamanders at Wood Thrush Park. This will involve some easy to moderate hiking on slopes/hills.
