In this lecture, we will explore common safety considerations and risks in rope bondage. We will cover the various nerves that are often at risk during tying sessions, as well as discuss blood-flow restrictions and ways to mitigate them. We will also discuss personal risk profiles and how anatomical insights can improve the safety of our sessions. Together, we will consider how to recognize physical warning signs, assess changing circumstances, and make informed decisions before, during, and after a rope session.
This lecture will have a high density of information, as well as a few hands-on exercises that can be done alone or with a partner. There will be room for questions as well as space to discuss personal experiences with rope injuries. The lecture is intended both for people who are still developing their foundations and for more experienced practitioners looking to refresh or deepen their understanding of rope safety.
