Safe and Sound Bites: Queer Affirming Therapy Code of Practice (QAT COP)

The LGBTQ+ Support Network is a response to the need for LGBTQ+ affirming care in social services and common spaces for LGBTQ+ Social Work professionals to gather and share. Our objectives include training allies and social service professionals who are keen to learn about LGBTQ+ topics. Safe and Sound Bites is the first informal series of fireside chats to hear from Social Service Practitioners with lived experiences and/or who are currently working with LGBTQ+ clients.

We will be discussing on:
• What is Queer Affirming Therapy and its current state in the Singapore context?
• Why is this code of practice important to our work?
• What does integration of these principles look like in our work?

Whether you’re a professional, volunteer, or ally, this session offers valuable insights into building empathy, solidarity, and safer spaces with LGBTQ+ communities!
