Join Lailah Dunbar-Keeys, M.S., M.Ed., for a monthly, transformative in-person experience, Sacred Womanism: Healing Circles for Holistic Wellness. Lailah will engage women in curated discussions rooted in scripture, African proverbs, and the contributions of Black American culture, history, and philosophy. Each session will include affirmative prayer, guided meditation, sacred visioning, and reflective journaling. Each month, guest practitioners will offer a diverse range of modalities, including yoga, Reiki, sound healing, belly dancing, and other wellness practices. Potential topics include self-love, divine femininity, radical self-awareness, internalized oppression, colorism, sacred relationships, and collective liberation, among others.

Our host and circle facilitator, Lailah Dunbar-Keeys, M.S., M.Ed., RScP., will guide us through meditation, reflection, journaling, and discussion about the relationship between our health and our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. For more information about the subject, read "The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma," by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D., and "My Grandmother's Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies,” by Resmaa Menakem.
