Harken Hall is hosting a special evening Sunday, November 22, with Renee King-Sonnen, founder of Rowdy Girl Sanctuary and author of Rowdy Girl: Confessions of a Vegan Cattle Rancher, for an inspiring look at compassion, transformation and the power of one person making a difference.
After marrying into the cattle ranching world, Renee experienced a profound shift in perspective that led her to transform her husband’s cattle ranch into Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, a safe haven for rescued farm animals. Her remarkable journey challenges assumptions, bridges divides, and invites us to rethink our relationship with animals.
The evening will feature a book talk and a screening of the director's cut of the documentary, Rowdy Girl. Experience Renee’s story, explore the ideas behind her work, and connect with others who believe in creating a more compassionate world.
Plant-based food and a copy of Renee's memoir are included in the ticket price.
