Roundtable: What's next for Intangible Cultural Heritage in Scotland?

Intangible Cultural Heritage – or Living Heritage – in Scotland is vibrant and growing in visibility. The NLHF-supported ‘Protection Through Connection: Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage in Scotland’ project – managed by the ICH Scotland Partnership – has piloted an approach to safeguarding ICH at community level.

This roundtable event seeks to bring practitioners and supporters of ICH in Scotland together to build connections and collaborative opportunities, and to address the following questions:

• How has ratification of the 2003 UNESCO Convention impacted ICH in Scotland thus far?

• How effective is the Protection Through Connection model?

• Where should support for ICH be focussed?

• What support exists presently?

This session is for anyone who is involved with or supports Intangible Cultural Heritage in Scotland.
