Join resident tour guides Kathleen O'Neal and Liz Riley and Historic Macon for a tradition 40+ years in the making to learn how these sacred burial grounds connect to Macon's history.For this tour, we will meet at the gate for Oak Ridge Cemetery. Oak Ridge shares an entrance with Riverside Cemetery. You may park alongside the road on Madison Street.
Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes, sun protection, and bring a bottle of water with you for this 1.5 hour walking tour. We will be walking along a paved route, but may occasionally take detours onto unpaved parts of the cemetery. Be mindful that Rose Hill has big elevation changes and the paths are not always perfectly smooth or flat.
