The countdown is ON, y’all!Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24, 2026, as we celebrate the 23rd Annual Jazz & Arts on Riverdale and a milestone we’re especially proud of… the 40th Anniversary of the Jazz Association of Macon!
This year’s theme is:
 Just South of Birdland… Funky @ 40!
The official festival artwork was created by the incredibly talented J. Alan Gibson, capturing the color, creativity, and groove of this year’s celebration. Kathy Nolan also designed our Funky @ 40 anniversary logo as we celebrate four decades of the Jazz Association of Macon promoting jazz throughout Middle Georgia.
For those wondering about the theme, Birdland is the legendary New York City jazz club that became one of the world’s great homes for jazz. Our theme tips its hat to that rich history while celebrating the incredible musicians, artists, and jazz community we’ve built right here in Macon… just a little south of Birdland.
We’re excited to announce our first featured artist…
George “Paisley” Gordon and GG & The Tone Krazy Electrik Orkestra will headline this year’s festival!
Many of you first met Paisley when he joined his legendary uncle, Wycliffe Gordon, at our 20th Annual Jazz & Arts on Riverdale. Then, three years ago, he made an unforgettable grand entrance, walking through the crowd with his electric guitar before setting the stage ablaze. Today we’re sharing a little clip from that performance, and we can’t wait to welcome him back to Riverdale!
The festival is FREE and family-friendly, taking place from Noon until 6:00 PM on the 200 block of Riverdale Drive in beautiful downtown Macon. Along with outstanding live jazz, you’ll enjoy local artists, artisan vendors, delicious food trucks, and a day full of community, creativity, and great music.
Most importantly, your support helps the Jazz Association of Macon continue its mission of promoting jazz as America’s original art form through scholarships, youth music education, and community outreach across Middle Georgia.
