Join us at the Ruskin Gallery on Monday 26 October 2026, 17.00–19.30, for the Private View of Roots & Rhythms, an international group exhibition presented by IVAS – International Visiting Academics & Scholars Ltd in collaboration with Cambridge School of Art, Anglia Ruskin University.
Curated by Minyan Hiam and Jeff Crosby, Roots & Rhythms celebrates the encounters, shared experiences and creative possibilities that develop through international knowledge exchange.
Inspired by the artists’ experiences at Aoshang Ancient Village, the exhibition explores how an ancient village can be rediscovered, interpreted and reimagined through contemporary artistic practice. Through diverse creative perspectives, the artists uncover overlooked stories of people, place, memory and cultural heritage, creating new connections between past and present while imagining and navigating possible futures.
Join artists, academics, educators and creative practitioners for an evening of art, storytelling, conversation and international exchange.
