Rooted in Westwood is officially happening! ❤️This event is being organized by Westwood and Waynesboro High School alumni who want to come together and support the school that helped shape so many of us. Our goal is simple: bring the community together and raise money for Westwood Elementary.
We are currently planning a day filled with community support, including:
• Food vendors
• Local businesses hosting pop-up shops
• Barbers offering services
• Counselors and community resources
• Raffles and giveaways to support fundraising efforts
• Donation collection stations hosted by local businesses
• A toy drive and book drive for students
• Volunteer opportunities for local schools and organizations
We are also working to involve local schools, student groups, athletic teams, and community organizations as volunteers throughout the event.
Please note that this post is to officially confirm the event. Additional details, including the date, schedule, vendor list, sponsors, donors, and participating organizations, will be announced once everything is finalized.
Every dollar raised from this event will go toward supporting Westwood Elementary. At this time, the school has not yet determined how the funds will be used. Once that decision has been made, it will be publicly announced so everyone knows exactly where the money is going.
We are still looking for volunteers to help run fundraising booths, assist with setup and cleanup, and support activities throughout the day. If you would like to volunteer, sponsor, donate, or participate, please reach out.
For the safety of all attendees, participation in this event is voluntary. Organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and participating businesses are not responsible for injuries, accidents, lost items, or medical expenses that may occur during the event.
This event is being organized by Westwood and Waynesboro High School alumni Alahnna White, Jakiah Tucker, Analise Moore, Allie Weeks, Addison Copeland, Yasmyne Gibson, and the help of several other community members. We would also like to thank Hannah Robertson, who had a similar vision and has collaborated with us to help expand this effort and raise even more support for the Westwood community.
