About this Event
This Earth Month, I invite you to come back to yourself with the support of Mama Earth. Rooted in Rhythm is a multi-sensory artistic and holistic experience where we gather in community by honouring the 4 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) and awakening the 7 chakras within the body through visual creativity, sound and food.
This offering is deeply personal, a “come back” into my work for 2026, and the beginning of a monthly journey where we create, ground, and rise together.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Ambiance: The Joy Healing Centre will be transformed into a warm, sensory sanctuary like a comforting embrace, where soft scents, earthy cultural textures, and elevated, sensual luxury surround you. Each of the four elements will be intentionally woven into the space.
Mini Bites: Thoughtfully curated to align with the energy of the chakras we are activating, featuring colours, ingredients, and natural elements that supports your energy points, organs, spirit & body.
Opening: 30-mins | We will begin with mingling, snacks and ice breaker session to get to know each other. Bring a Tote bag to fill from the IMPACT Community Closet (gently used clothing)
Art Session for 2 hrs: Through guided instruction, you will create an intuitive art piece using repurposed materials, natural elements, and intentional symbolism, learning how colour, texture, and element can be used as tools for expression, healing, and storytelling. From an aray of different materials such as canvas, wood palets, coasters, fabric, etc. you choose what your foundation piece is and begin to create a world of your own. Anna will provide all materials from paint, crushed gems, stickers, acrylic markers, pastelles. You will tap into the free spirit child side of yourself!
Closing Ceremony 30-mins: Visual Meditation + Sound Frequency
Through a guided visual meditation, you will be invited to:
- Tap into your mind’s eye
- Understand the power of thought, imagery, and words
- Connect with Mother Earth through sound, affirmations, essential oils (formulated by Anna)
Accompanied by sound frequency with live instruments played by Soul-R Damon Maraj (Djembe Drums, Pan Drum, Rain Sticks, Sound Bowls)
This portion of the workshop is to teach, inspire and ignite your inner Alchemist. Every thought has a purpose, and every word can come to fruition; through intentional meditative story telling and instrumentals, both a.i. Azucena & Soul-R Damon Maraj will support you in rest, visualization and igniting the fire within you.
Community Impact
A portion of each ticket will be donated to IMPACT 'n Communities and IMPACT Holistics, supporting continued community programming, the Nourishing Neighborhoods Food Bank, and initiatives that provide essential resources, wellness services, and safe spaces for individuals and families.
By attending, you are not only investing in your own grounding and expression, but also contributing to the growth and care of the wider community.

Dear: Community,
I've been intentional in "hybernating" if you will while I reflect on many blessings and lessons from 2025. I've been educating myself on my ancestral roots, the vagus nerve, chakra systems, and the facia; I've also been in school for Community Health & Social Medicine, WILD! But Spring is here, and I'm listening to nature and my body and I'm ready to come back to the community with the monthly artistic and wellness worshops.
The New Year begins now and we will begin these monthly workshops with Rooted in Rhythm: Dedicated to none other Mama Earth. We will create art, light the flame within through a guided visual meditation (always written fresh by me) with sound frequency (live instruments with Soul-R) mini bites (aligned with your Chakras) & most definitely great conversation and we will jam out! As always, every portion of my workshops are intentional from the time you enter to the time you leave, this is meant to tap into your 5 sense even the 6th. Once a month we will meet with the same intentions, different themes, different meditation, different art but all the same energy. Going forward, a portion of your tickets will go towards +(a Non-Profit Organization that is deeply rooted in Scarborough/Toronto)
I can't wait to see you all again and hopefully make some new community friends.
