Rooted in Rhythm: Intro to Storytelling thru BASL, ASL, Poetry and Movement
Join us for a fun, in-person experience where storytelling comes alive! Dancer and artist Fred Beam invites us into the vibrant worlds of BASL and ASL! When combined with expressive poetry, your body can express incredible stories through movement.
Advanced ASL signers, fluent BASL/ASL users, and experienced Deaf performers. Participants should possess strong receptive and expressive ASL skills, as this workshop focuses on advanced performance techniques rather than introductory ASL instruction.
This event will NOT provide ASL interpreting.
This event takes place in Room 103 - Co-Lab Space at Living and Learning Residence Hall 6, Gallaudet University.
