Rooted in History: Discovering Cleveland Heights’ Heritage Trees
The city's oldest trees survive from the native forest of the late 1700s. They are living monuments to our natural past. Roy Larick will present the history of the Moses Cleaveland Tree program (1946-1986) and introduce a new countywide Heritage Tree initiative. Cleveland Heights can now nominate a new set of favorite ancient trees. Learn about some stunning candidates. A walking tour of Forest Hill Park will visit several Moses Cleaveland Trees in autumn glory. Part of the city’s America250 event series.
