The afternoon begins with an informal conversation about the Alberta and Newfoundland landscapes, memories and traditions that shaped the collection, along with the quilt-inspired details woven throughout the work.
Then watch McKenna paint live in the gallery, offering a rare look at how one of her layered landscapes comes together from the first marks onward.
Relaxed, personal and unscripted, this is a chance to experience the work from a different perspective and see the artist’s process unfold in real time.
