Join us overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir for an afternoon of beaver-themed food, drinks, live music, family activities, nature, and community as we celebrate the incredible role beavers play in keeping our landscapes and watersheds healthy.
Their dams help slow and store water, create wetlands, provide habitat for wildlife, support biodiversity, filter water, and make landscapes more resilient to drought, floods, and wildfires.
Water connects all of us.
Beaver Fest is an opportunity to have some fun while discovering the remarkable relationships between beavers, wetlands, healthy landscapes, and the water we depend on every day.

Beavers have been shaping the waterways of this landscape for thousands of years.
By building dams and creating wetlands, beavers can help water stay on the landscape longer—supporting fish, birds, amphibians, plants and countless other species.
Healthy beaver habitat can also help communities think differently about some of the biggest water challenges facing Southern Alberta: drought, flooding, biodiversity loss, water quality and watershed resilience.
Beaver Fest is about celebrating these relationships and imagining what becomes possible when we work with nature to restore our watersheds.
