Rodolfo Baroncini Quartet [IT]---------------------------------
The recently formed quartet—violin, piano, electric bass, and drums—explores contemporary jazz with original compositions that highlight the expressive qualities of the violin. Their sound is captivating and unique, blending hypnotic melodies with rich improvisation.
Their album Jazz Violin Experience (Nugo Records) features six tracks, including the extended opening piece Mawimbi, showcasing a mix of rhapsodic and dynamic sections with innovative sonic textures.
Based in Rome, the quartet has performed successfully at major local jazz venues such as Alexanderplatz Jazz Club, Boogie Club, Teatro Arciliuto, and Jey Jazz Club.
