The Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival Edmonton is an annual celebration held at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Canada, where attendees can indulge in a wide array of local and world-class wines, brews, spirits, and culinary delights provided by top chefs and restaurants. This year's festival promises to be a remarkable experience, showcasing Alberta's finest offerings. A General Admission Pass provides attendees with access to the grand tasting hall, which includes $40 in sampling coupons, a 30-minute early access (excluding Saturday afternoons), and a dedicated entry line for quicker access.Among the highlights of the event is a unique wine glass workshop led by a Riedel expert, where participants will learn about the impact of glass shape on their wine enjoyment. This hands-on experience includes a sensory tasting featuring three different wines. Attendees can also shop for their festival favorites at the Sobeys Liquor Store located within the Grand Tasting Hall and utilize the Liquor Connect app to conveniently find their preferred beverages at nearby stores. The festival also emphasizes community support, having raised nearly $2,900 and collected 371 lbs of food in the previous year. This year, non-perishable food items and monetary donations are encouraged to be brought to the event.
The festival's title sponsor, Sobeys Liquor and Safeway Liquor, is a Canadian company known for its quality and extensive selection of adult beverages across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Attendees must present government-issued photo ID for entry, and entrance tickets are valid only for the specific date and session purchased. It's crucial to buy tickets directly from the official supplier to avoid issues at the door, as unauthorized purchases may lead to denied entry. Once inside, attendees will need to purchase sampling coupons to enjoy various drink and food samples, which can vary in price depending on the exhibitor. The festival promotes responsible enjoyment of beverages and offers a coat check service managed by the Edmonton Convention Centre. By attending, participants consent to being photographed or recorded for marketing purposes.
