Did You Know . . . Adult cancer survivors have about a 42% higher risk of heart disease, 52% higher risk of heart failure, and 22% higher risk of stroke compared to those without cancer. And people with heart disease — especially those with cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome (CKM syndrome) — have a higher risk of developing cancer. So it makes sense that we ramp up support for preventing both heart disease and cancer--no brainer! One way to do that is to seek out opportunities that will foster success for both causes.
