2025 International Acoustic Music Award winner, 2026 Kerrville New Folk Finalist and Canadian Folk Music Award nominee Robert Thomas is one of Canada’s finest lyricists and collaborative songwriters. He has crafted songs for legends like Kenny Rogers, Bonnie Raitt, Joe Cocker, and the (Dixie) Chicks among others. After 30 years behind the scenes in music publishing, Thomas is now touring his compelling catalogue of new and older compositions. These are songs we can all connect with - memorable radio sing along melodies and impeccable lyrics presented with a unique and varied musical palette - all introduced with a masterful, often humorous, repartee that harkens back to the unique story telling era of Mark Twain and Stuart McLean. Accompanied by the absolutely stellar multi-instrumental “sessionmen” - Ray Legere, Jon Arsenault and Kaden Mattinson - whose credits in their own right include, Alison Krauss, Rita MacNeil, Doc Watson, Tony Rice and The Chieftains - Thomas delivers beautiful, energetic Folk/Americana mixed with a touch of Bluegrass and melodic four part harmonies that has captivated audiences across North America and Europe. Four men, eight instruments one amazing evening.
Accomplished Ottawa songwriter and CKCU regular Pat Moore will open the show.
