River was born-at-home and homeschooled in Dubuque, IA. His playful brand of poignant folk-pop pairs evocative, intellectual, heart-centered lyrics with a clever rhythmic flow, delivered through powerful, dexterous vocals. River is a festival child turned musical storyteller, who tastefully utilizes a looper pedal to layer guitar, mandolin, and violin into arrangements that feel expansive while remaining personal. JOEL SIRES
From the very start of his musical journey Joel Sires has been a song chaser. Sires’ work has run the gamut from psych pop to glam rock, and power pop to singer songwriter folk. His latest work features hushed tones and acoustic guitars, breaking new ground by bringing the volume down and pushing the song and lyrics to the forefront.
Joel has grown into a proficient songwriter, guitarist, producer, and performer. He is even known to throw in a little harmonica here and there.
He lives in the country with his wife, two dogs, and two chickens.
