About this Event
The Sarah K. Delson (SKD) Fellowship was established in the name of San Francisco artist Sarah Delson who passed away on May 4, 2023. It is designed to bolster Bay Area artists whose practice has been significantly shifted by life-changing circumstances, often health related. The Fellowship was created by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco in conjunction with The Drawing Room and is made possible by contributions in Delson’s honor from her family, friends, and broader community. The Fellowship is established in Delson’s memory, inspired by her passion for making art and honoring the essential role it played in her life.Exhibition Dates: September 19 - November 8
RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW will include past and new work by five of the SKD Fellows, revealing the pathways by which they explore the impact of their health on their work, and highlighting the artists’ overriding commitment to their artistic practice right now. As such, the exhibition is intended to meet each artist where they are at the present moment.
