Ride the Ellerbe Creek Trails
Saturday, October 17 | 10 a.m.–noon
Explore Durham by bike! Join the Durham Open Space & Trails Commission (DOST) and Bike Durham for a guided ride along the Ellerbe Creek, South Ellerbe Creek and West Ellerbe Creek trails.
Space is limited, so please register in advance.
What to expect
A roughly 10-mile ride with stops to explore some of Durham’s most interesting open spaces, parks and trail projects.
Along the way, we’ll visit:
- The major South Ellerbe Creek Restoration project, now under construction
- The new Downtown Rail Trail, construction starting soon
- Five City parks
- Three ECWA nature preserves
- Durham’s famous brontosaurus
Start & finish at:
Edison Johnson Recreation Center parking lot at 500 W Murray Ave in Durham.
