Ren Ryu Karate is proud to be hosting a seminar with two renowned instructors: Rick Hotton Sensei and Sensei Aidan Trimble.*
Rick Hotton Sensei is the founder of Sunday Morning Keiko. This year marks his 50th year of teaching. For over 40 years he has been the head instructor of West Wind Karate Dojo in Sarasota, Florida. Hotton Sensei's teaching combines Karate practice with Aikido, which he learnt from Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, a direct disciple of the founder of aikido, Morihei Ueshiba.
Sensei Aidan Trimble is the Chief Instructor and founder of the international association The Federation of Shotokan Karate. Sensei Trimble began training in karate at the age of eleven and won his first British title at the age of 17. That same year he was selected for the England squad and was a member of the team that won the European Championships in Germany in 1978. In 1983 Aidan became the first Non-Japanese to win a World Karate Title in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 22. In 2016 Sensei Trimble was awarded his 8th Dan by the English Karate Federation.
