But legacy isn't written at the end of a career. It's being written today, in the conversations you choose to have, the standards you hold, and the courage you show when it would be easier not to.
In this interactive session, Heidi Gibaut introduces the HR At Work Leadership Legacy Code — a practitioner framework built from leadership and board advisory work, drawing on established research in values-based leadership and behavioural psychology.
Together we'll explore the four building blocks of a leadership legacy: Values (what matters to me as a leader), Behaviours (what I do when it matters), Impact (how others experience me), and Legacy (what I'm known for over time).
What we'll cover
- Personal sustainability — protecting your energy, your values and your humanity, because what you tolerate becomes your culture
- Control vs. concern — what silently hijacks your thinking, from avoiding difficult conversations to choosing approval over integrity
- Psychological safety — the difference between the comfort zone, the anxiety zone where most leaders live, and the learning zone where innovation actually happens
