Get ready for a night of high-energy, no-holds-barred stand-up with Richard Villa, the Compton-raised comedian and actor whose comedy turns growing up Mexican-American, family, culture, relationships and everyday life into stories that connect across audiences.
Performing in both English and Spanish, Villa has appeared on Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central, MTV, Amazon Prime, Televisa, Galavisión, Azteca TV and Comedy Central Mexico. He was also the longtime host of Refried Fridays at the Hollywood Improv, becoming the first Latino comic to hold that Friday-night hosting spot.
Villa has taken his stand-up around the world and has shared stages with comedy heavyweights including Gabriel Iglesias, Dave Chappelle, Russell Peters, Carlos Mencia and Mike Epps. He has also toured with Mexican comedy star Franco Escamilla, helping Villa build an audience on both sides of the border.
Now Richard Villa brings his fast, animated storytelling and cross-cultural comedy to National Lampoon: The Yellow Door for one late-night San Diego show.
