About this Event
Synopsis
When selecting our EVA London Research Workshop Delegates, we look for early career graduate and post graduate researchers and artists, who have proposed exciting and original ideas.
These will be ‘work in progress’, rather than fully completed projects. This programme also allows us to broaden out from our main conference topics and to explore more eclectic and innovative concepts. This Research Workshop experience can often encourage these delegates to make successful peer reviewed, full or short paper presentations, for our EVA London conference, a year or two later.
For EVA London 2026, as part of our aim to develop our support for early career academics and digital artists, we have 20 Research Workshop delegates from around the world giving presentations over Thursday 16th and Friday 17th July. All our Research Workshop exhibitors have been selected for their original and thought-provoking ideas, and in many cases, innovative use of the latest technology.
Those who are presenting at our EVA Conference in person are invited to be part of a ‘Pop Up’ exhibition to present and discuss their work and ideas with conference delegates and guests.
We will begin the evening in our lecture room at 18.00 with a 20-minute presentation from our specialist Keynote speaker Astryd Park, with a very relevant message for our early career participants, and all the rest of our guests!
Afterwards, Research Workshop delegates attending in person will be allotted a desk space around BCS where they can meet you and ‘Show and Tell’ their ideas on a small group, or a 1:1 basis, in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
Drinks will be available through this part of the evening, as you explore all of the demonstrations and hopefully make some exciting new contacts.
Attendance is free but must be booked in advance via this form.
