Annual Rememberance Sunday Service at the Royal Marines Memorial Gardens on Sunday 8th November 2026To be held at the award winning Royal Marines Memorial Gardens at Eastney Esplanade, in the shadow of the Former Royal Marines Barracks and still the spiritual home of the Royal Marines.
This Service of Rememberance dates back to 1946 and is held in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries, as a day to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian service people in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
All are welcome to attend. The event is supported by the Royal Marine Band marching and playing the veterans and RMVCC Cadets onto the parade.
Atop the balcony of the former Royal Marines Museum, four Royal Marines buglers will sound the evocative call of the Last Post and the Reveille, split by the 2 minutes silence.
Also there will be the team from the historic Cumberland Guard, in period uniform, firing the 3 lb Cannon to sound the Alert.
All veterans are invited to join the Royal Marines Association veterans and serving personnel at the service, paying tribute to, and honouring those lost in conflicts around the world.
