Release & Reset: Somatic Breathwork Journey for Women

This event is for busy women who need a chance to slow down, release what they are holding and want techniques to feel better daily.
About this Event

This breathwork is for women who are holding a lot.

The intention is simple: help you release what you’re carrying, reset, relax and give you tools to feel more empowered in your everyday life.

What to expect

We’ll start by setting an intention for what you’d like to let go of. There's no need to think about it ahead of time, or be set on one specific thing.

Then we'll move into somatic breathwork, a form of conscious connected breathwork. It activates your nervous system and gives your body space to let go of what it’s been holding. Some people feel tingling, changes in temperature, waves of emotion, the urge to move or make sounds. Every experience is different and there's no right way to do it. The only thing you have to do is continue to breathe and allow your body's wisdom to do the work.

We finish lying down, simply resting and relaxing, while listening to the sounds of nature, letting your body fully land.
Then you'll be offered tea and light snacks to help you ground as you come back to the space.

Breath tools to take home

You’ll also learn three simple practices you can use any day (and be given a card to remember them):

  • One to boost your energy
  • One to calm down
  • One to get back into your body when you’re stuck in your head

What is somatic breathwork?

“Somatic” means “of the body.” Instead of trying to talk or think your way through stress, this practice uses breath to work with your body directly.

A session has a clear arc. We settle in first. Then a faster, fuller breathing pattern raises your energy on purpose for a short time, which can let built-up stress and emotion come to the surface and move out. Afterwards we slow the breath way down, and many people find they feel more relaxed than when they arrived.

With practice, your body gets better at handling stress and recovering from it, so everyday pressure doesn’t knock you off balance as easily. The breath practices I leave you will give you the chance to integrate this deeper into your daily life.
