About this Event
The Center for Empowering Refugees and Immigrants (CERI) and Wellness in Action invite you to take a moment to connect with the strength of your lineage and the resilience that continues to live within our communities today.
Breath it in. You are not alone.
Reground is an event promoted by Wellness in Action, one of CERI's Programs, with the aim to gather, celebrate, honor, bring self-care and acknowledge immigrant/refugee and BIPOC communities. The intention of Reground is to recognize the resilience and resistance of immigrants, refugees, Black, Indigenous and People of Color to survive and thrive in a time and space that was not designed to serve nor to welcome these communities.
The past two years have been difficult ones, so many challenges surround us all, inside and outside the country. For us in Wellness in Action one thing became even more clear; the power of community love and wisdom sustains us and supports us during the hardest times and it is also alive and present to celebrate us when we shine. Community resilience and ancestral wisdom have the power to offer us the right medicine when we didn't even know we needed it.
For our Reground 2026 event, we are happy to invite you to a full day of Community Healing and Ancestral Wisdom manifestation/exploration. We want to share the resilience and love we get from the communities we work with and we also want to learn more about how you practice and share your own community love, ancestral wisdom and values. Come and join us to embrace, share and receive the amount of love and healing our communities generously offer to us all year long.
Please join us and our team for a day of healing through movement, art making, music, honey "medicine", herbs and cultural celebration. We planned this special day for you, come and enjoy it!
“Beloved community is formed not by the eradication of difference but by its affirmation, by each of us claiming the identities and cultural legacies that shape who we are and how we live in the world.” Bell Hooks
