Regency Dance Workshop with divine period music by Van Diemen's Angels, Monday, 9th November, 2026With divine period music by Van Diemen’s Angels.
Learn or refresh the basics of Regency country dancing for the forthcoming Derwent Regency Festival (27th-30th November, folktas.org/regency), or just enjoy some fun and lively Regency dances. Dressing up is optional.
All dances taught by Dancing Master David Wanless. No partner or dancing experience required. All ages and identities welcome.
Note that you are most welcome to attend the festival whether or not you have attended this workshop.
7:15 for 7:30-9:30pm
St James Hall, 462 Elizabeth St, New Town (off Rupert Avenue just up the hill from Augusta Rd, enter behind church)
Tickets: $7-16 at https://folktas.org/monday or at the door.
This dance is a special extra night in our Monday Night Folk Dance series, which normally runs on the first and third Mondays of each month, Feb-Dec except Easter.
