Join us aboard Theatreship to celebrate two years of Ode to Them, with an evening dedicated to independent film, emerging artists and creative community.
"Refraction" is an anthology of short films exploring the unique obstacles that disrupt our lives, and the deeply personal, entirely unpredictable ways we navigate the aftermath.
Curated from open call submissions by Ode and Theatreship, we’re bringing together a programme of films by neurodivergent filmmakers, celebrating different perspectives, experiences and approaches to storytelling. Expect a thoughtful and varied selection of independent films that invite us to see the world a little differently.
Ode to Them is a neurodivergent-led creative platform championing emerging artists, writers and makers through exhibitions, open calls, collaborations and storytelling.
Your ticket also includes access to the opening night of WATER, our accompanying group exhibition featuring 20 emerging artists exploring water in its many forms. Following the screening, guests are warmly invited to join us for the exhibition preview, meet fellow creatives and celebrate two years of ODE.

The venue opens at 2pm for drinks at the bar, you're welcome to arrive early to come and enjoy the space with us.
The ship is very close to South Quay DLR and a short walk from Canary Wharf (entering 'Theatreship' into google maps rather than the nearest postcode on land is the best way to find us!).
Theatreship is committed to broadening access to the arts - we know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. The £3 - £5 ticket price is to help cover the running costs of the unfunded film screening and running costs of the not-for-profit cinema. If the regular ticket price is beyond what you feel able to afford for whatever reason, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected] and we will do everything we can to help, no questions asked.
Due to the historic nature of the ship, we’re sorry to say there is not currently step-free access into the theatre space. We have dedicated staff on hand to help with stairs, and an onsite wheelchair once you’re inside the venue. If you have any access needs, please do e-mail us at [email protected].
