About this Event
A Sunday Afternoon of Creative Listening
listening as reflection / creating as response
This workshop brings together expressive arts and music therapy for an afternoon of creative close listening. Guided by Zoé, an expressive arts facilitator from the sozo space, and Jordan Elias, a music therapist, we'll use sound, mark-making, drawing and reflective writing to listen in to ourselves.
Each piece of music becomes an invitation to respond with marks, shape and colour. We'll create both collectively, mapping a soundscape, and individually, with a personal drawing of the music.
The focus is on slowing down and listening in. As the year moves towards December, we invite you to pause, use listening as a creative practice, and notice what's present.
Let's see what we create when sound becomes image. What do you see when you listen? What do you hear when you draw?
No drawing, writing or music experience needed, just curiosity
