About this Event
1917
They were given a simple message. A piece of paper that held the lives of sixteen hundred men in its ink. Among them, one manβs brother.
So they sent two boys. Through the mud and the wire, into the silence of the German trenches, where a single rat could be the death of you. It is a race where every second is measured in blood, and the only thing more relentless than the enemy is the ticking of the clock.
Filmed to unfold in two breathtaking, continuous shots, *1917* is not a story of grand strategy, but of a single, desperate errand in the heart of the Great War. It is about the weight of a promise made to a dying friend, and the sheer, stubborn will it takes to crawl, step by step, toward a flicker of hope.
