The Truth and Reconciliation committee will host the next Readings and Conversations on the book America USA: How Race Shadows the Nation's Anniversary by Eddie S. Glaude, Jr. The event will be held on Sunday, November 1, after the 10:00 service. Lunch will be provided.
“Centered around the major celebrations of America’s milestone birthdays across 250 years of history, America, U.S.A. offers a riveting look at the battles over who has a stake in writing the American story. Devastatingly candid, profoundly moving, and deeply reflective, America, U.S.A. is a shining meditation on how we must reckon with a grim past in order to strive for the better angels of our future.”
Curious Iguana has America U.S.A. in stock and will give a 20% discount to members of All Saints. Just let the store know you’re from All Saints when you purchase the book.
Please rsvp to Rixey Hoult by 10/25.
