Re-Leaf Agency is an invitation to enter an environment of lush movement, rich sounds, provocative words, and larger-than-life projections of trees, mushrooms, ferns, and flowers. Once there, you’ll be asked to join the Re-Leaf Agency, a collective of beings who have been charged to be Keepers of the Good, even in the face of political and environmental anxiety.Under the creative direction of Kit Clark, Re-Leaf Agency features original movement, text, video, and music. The multisensory performance —disguised as a recruitment session — is a one-of-a-kind event that prompts reflection and action and calls on us to rediscover our collective humanity. Two dancers - Jeanna Riscigno and Amanda Comi - and one guide - Clark - implore you to join them in navigating the turbulent times in which we find ourselves.
Inspired by a two-year long project documenting a sliver of land on Maryland’s South Mountain, creative director Kit Clark shares the profound experience of walking and witnessing the land and feeling the solace of non-human time.
